The Trappers' Running Club held its third annual Whiskey Jack Jaunt on August 26, 2016! This event is a trail run/ walk that takes place at the beautiful and scenic Birch Brook Nordic Ski Club. The 2016 event was a huge success with 28 registrants. Please see below for the 2016 Whiskey Jack routes.
This event is a self-supported event. Registrants chose between 6km and 15km distances. The 15km distance brings competitors to McLean Lake. Each runner is required to carry 500 mL of water, a safety blanket, and a bear bell. All three items will be provided to runners in their race kits and there is a water stop located mid-race. It is also recommended that runners carry extra water, fuel, bear spray, and warm clothes. There is also a BBQ following the event!
***This event will not be offered in 2018, but check out the first-ever Minipi Outfitters 50km Ultra taking place this August!***
